Reaction roles
Reaction roles let members self-assign roles by reacting to a message (or, on Pro, by using dropdown role menus). Use them for color roles, game tags, pronouns, or opt-in notification roles.
What it does#
You publish a message—often in a rules or roles channel—with emoji tied to roles. When a member adds a reaction, AIO grants the matching role; removing the reaction can remove the role depending on your configuration. Multiple messages can each offer a different set of roles.
This keeps your role list organized without staff manually assigning tags all day.
Dashboard path#
Dashboard → Servers → {Guild} → Reaction roles
Create a reaction-role message, pick the channel, map emojis to roles, and post or sync the message. Edit mappings from the dashboard when you add new roles.

Ensure Read Message History and Add Reactions are allowed for AIO in the roles channel.

Layout tips#
Use one message per theme: “Game roles”, “Colors”, “Ping roles”. Cluttered single messages confuse members and burn through your Free cap of five messages faster. Each message supports up to 10 roles on Free.
Explain in the embed or message body that clicking multiple reactions may grant multiple roles unless you configure exclusive groups. Moderators should lock the roles channel to prevent users from deleting the bot’s message.
Pro unlocks dropdown role menus—useful when you have more emoji than fit cleanly on one post. Until then, split across up to five messages.
After posting#
If reactions already exist from testing, clear stray reactions so counts stay readable. When you add a new emoji mapping, members who reacted before the update may need to re-react once.
